Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), proposes a slope stabilization on (SR) 96 at (PM) 33.2, 8 miles west of Happy Camp in Siskiyou County. Caltrans has developed a permanent restoration plan that will include cutting the face of the slide to create a catchment basin for failing rock and installing a metal, mesh, rock drapery curtain to guide failing material into the catchment basin. A new culvert will be installed, approximately 100 feet west of the slide area to catch roadway runoff.
