Document Description
The proposed project involves retrofitting existing street lights throughout District tidelands in San Diego, Coronado and National City. The proposed project is estimated to reduce maintenance needs, cut energy use by approximately 50 percent, and decrease greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by an estimated 258 metric tons. Work to complete the proposed project will include removing and disposing existing street lights; cleaning and removing bird droppings on the electrical pole arm; installing light emitting diode (LED) lights, photo cell, and other accessories; installing bird spikes; and conducting traffic control where necessary.
