Document Description
Modification to change the hours/days of operation of a previously approved Coastal Development Permit and Conditional Use Permit for re-opening of a facility previously used as a recycled materials processing facility, and which is now be used as a medium volume waste transfer station on an approximately 2.5 acre parcel within the general industrial area of the town of Samoa. Municipal waste is transported to the site for recyclables to be sorted from the waste. Recyclables are packaged and exported and remaining waste taken to the Anderson Landfill. The existing structure is a 38,000 +/- square foot facility that accommodates a sort line technology, tipping floor area and bale storage area, all capable of handling up to 100 TPD. The facility is open for public drop off. The approved hours of operation are 7 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The modification requests to change the hours and days of operation to add Saturday and Sunday, 8 am to 5 pm.
