Document Description
The project is called "Day Avenue to Arden Way", but while the improvements begin at Day Avenue they stop about 600 feet away from Arden Way. The proposed project involves the construction of pedestrian facilities and improvements in sections where facilities are lacking along the southeastern side of Fair Oaks Boulevard; facilities are absent and will be installed in the section from Day Drive to Jardin Lane and then in the section from Day Drive to Jardin Lane and then in the section from Elsdon Circle to about 330 feet beyond Elsdon Circle. The project does not involve changes to the existing sidewalk, curb and gutter from Jardin Lane to Elsdon Circle, because facilities already exist in this section. The project involves clearing and grubbing, traffic control, pavement removal, sidewalk construction, curb and gutter installation, ADA ramp construction, drain inlet and pipe installation, minor pavement repair, roadway restriping and bicycle lane improvements. The project will include improvements to enhance pedestrian and bicyclist safety and mobility, as follows: the creation of a 4-foot bicycle lane, the construction of a 3-foot Type 2 curb and gutter and the construction of a 4-foot sidewalk.
