RMCSD is proposing to expand and make improvements to their existing WTP facility (Plans 1 and 2) due to aging equipment and processes, to address future regulatory requirements, and to ensure that they maintain an adequate water supply for approved and future planned development in the RMCSD service area. Once the proposed project is completed, the firm rated capacity of Plan 1 would be approximately 3.5 mgd. Ultimately, Plant 1 would be expanded to provide a firm related capacity of up to 6.0 mgd and Plant 2 could be used for backup purposes.
