Document Description
The Project will convert the oxidation ditches to nitrifying and denitrifying bioreactors by installing partitions to separate the aerated and anoxic zones, and replace the surface brush aerators with submersible mixers and 9-inch membrane disc diffusers. An alkalinity feed facility and a new blower building will also be constructed. The blower building will have two rooms. The blower room will house the high-speed turbo blowers while the electrical room will house all electrical gears, motor control centers, programmable logic controllers and other equipment. This Project also will replace the existing bar screens with fine mechanical screens. The sludge treatment pond will be enhanced by installing additional piping and valves. These enhancements will allow operations staff to isolate each sludge treatment pond to allow dewatering and drying of sludge prior to disposal or reuse.
