Document Description
Caltrans, in cooperation with the Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC), proposes to convert the existing I-580 eastbound high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lane to an express lane facility. The conversion would allow single-occupant vehicles (SOVs) to pay a toll to use the lanes. HOVs would continue to use the lanes for free. The I-580 Eastbound Express lanes Project limits extend from just west of the Hopyard Road/Dougherty Road overcrossing to just east of the Greenville Road undercrossing in the cities of Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore in Alameda County (Post Miles R7.8 to 19.9). The total length of the project is approximately 12.1 miles.
