Document Description
The purpose of the proposed project is to widen and strengthen the existing bridge (51C-013). The proposed project would involve tying two steel plates girders with cross bracing to the existing girder and the extending the steel floor beams and reinforced concrete deck slab. The bridge would be widened by 7 feet on the north to allow and the abutments would be widened and supported on 24 inch cast in drilled hole piles. Jalama Road would be widened approximately seven feet to accommodate widening of the bridge. The roadway would taper to a conform approximately 150 feet south of the bridge. The bridge guard rail and barrier/bike rail are proposed to have a brown powered coat finish. An architectural treatment is proposed on the interior bridge rail consisting of a native river cobble relief.
