Document Description
The Project involves a Specific Plan with the following primary components: demolition approximately 400,156 sf of existing on-site buildings; construction of up to 750 du. approx. 208,350 sf of commercial land uses (including adaptive reuse of two vacant structures on-site), and 4.6 ac. of open space; and offsite infrastructure improvements including roadway improvements to Whittier Blvd, Sorensen Ave., and the extension of Elmer Ave., onto the site. This is to advise that the City of Whittier approved the following resolutions on June 25, 2015; Resolution 8702 certifying the Final EIR and making certain findings and adopting statements of overriding considerations and Resolution 8703 determining local landmark eligibility for various buildings, structures, objects and landscapes and designating certain resources as local historical landmarks.
