Document Description
The District Proposed Project will replace a motor, a pump, and install a granular activated carbon treatment system. The district will also install a sodium hypochlorite generation and feed system, a manganese treatment system, and a bolted steel backwash settling tank. Well 102 will be reconnected and reactivated to produce 800-gpm for potable water. (Well 102 was originally used for potable water and then replumbed as recycled water.) The treatment facilities will be connected to the water distribution system by an existing pipeline that runs form the treatment facilities across District land to a 30-inch diameter pipeline in Diaz Road. The existing well, electrical panels, and chlorine building as well as the existing monitoring well and extensometer are planned to remain in place. The iron and manganese precipitate sludge will be trucked to a properly licensed disposal facility. The project will provide for the operation of the facilities.
