DTSC has issued an emergency permit to UC Berkeley. UC Berkeley requested the campus bomb squad to remove, transport and treat a highly reactive hazardous waste by detonation. The hazardous waste to be treated is 10 ml of expired Tert-butoxycarbonyl azide. The emergency permit is effective beginning December 18th, 2013.
