Document Description
The purpose of the project is to use bioretention and pervious pavement to filter and infiltrate a majority of the first flush urban runoff from the approximately 59-acre drainage area. Specific best management practices (BMPs) that are proposed include a permeable paving pedestrian pathway along Paradise Creek within Kimball Park, bioretention planters and curb bulb-outs, interlocking pervious concrete pavers, and porous concrete parking areas along A Avenue. The project will also include teaching tools, including interpretive signs and public art, within Kimball Park.
