Document Description
Replace an old, worn, leaking 50,000 gallon redwood water tank with a new 50,000 gallon stainless steel water tank at Big Basin Redwoods State Park to provide safe potable drinking water for park staff and the general public. Work will: * Place a temporary water tank on the road adjacent to the old redwood water tank; * Disconnect the water line from the current water tank and connect to the temporary tank; * Disassemble old redwood water tank * Grade the area for the new stainless steel water tank installation; * Install new stainless steel water tank and hook up to the water supply; * Paint new stainless steel water tank with brown paint; * Utilize the salvaged wooden staves from the demolished tank to clad around the new tank or construct a screen to conceal the new tank from the public view.
