Document Description
DTSC is considering approval of a Removal Action Workplan for the Emerson Middle School redevelopment project. The RAW focuses on the excavation of approximately 203 cubic yards of contaminated soil impacted by arsenic within which will then be transported by trucks for off-site disposal at an appropiate permitted landfill facility. The removal action activities are scheduled to begin in December of 2013 and are expected to take approximately three weeks to complete. Following the removal of the impacted soil, the Site will be restored using clean imported fill material and construction of a new athletic field.
