Document Description
The project will address high and medium priority sediment delivery features as identified by Mendocino Redwood Company in their Watershed Analysis while also storm-proofing 5.4 miles of riparian roads that deliver sediment into adjacent Class I watercourses in a core recovery area. This project will reduce road-related sediment at 43 sediment source locations and protect and improve instream habitat for all salmonid species within the North Fork Navarro River watershed by permanently decommissioning 4.4 miles and upgrading 1 miles of streamside road. This project will also address several other high priority tasks within both the NMFS Recovery Plan and CDFG Recovery Plan by adding at least 53 pieces of large woody material at approximately 12 sites along 1.5 miles of stream.
