Document Description
The Project involves a mixed use development of 201 acres of non-native grassland to include a 141-acre residential subdivision including the construction of 740 mixed density dwelling units, 1.5-acre place of worship, 2.6-acre educational facility, 12.9-acre community, 0.7-acre rose garden and the construction of the necessary infrastructure and roads to accommodate the new subdivision. In addition, the installation of a 1,380-lf storm drain system will be required. The remaining 255 acres will be dedicated as open space. The project will result in impacts to 201 acres of Alameda whipsnake, habitat including semi-permanent impacts to 55 acres and permanent removal of 146 acres of habitat, as well as the permanent loss of 2,360 lf of San Ramon Creek and its related tributaries on the project site. Projet buildout will occur in two development phases over 5 years. The project is expected to result in incidental take of Alameda whipsnake, designated as a threatened species under CESA. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
