Document Description
Site Plan Approval application to allow Blue Lake Roundstock LLC to operate a dowel mill operation in the City's Business Park that will produce 3-7 inch diameter doweled wood products (e.g. fence posts, tree stakes, etc.). The proposed dowel mill operation will primarily involve the storing and processing of small diameter trees. Equipment that will be used for the operation includes two electric dowel mills, front-end log loaders, forklifts, and hauling trucks. At full production, the operation will have 8 employees on-site and it is proposed to operate year round. Hours of operation for the proposed project will be from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday - Friday. Maintenance and clean-up will occur on Saturdays and operations on Sundays and Holidays will only occur for emergency repair work.
