Document Description
Application by the City of Nevada City for final approval for placement of a public, modular and removable Boardwalk seating area, totaling 400 sf, located within three existing parking spaces on Commercial Street, specifically in between 309 and 313 Commercial Street, Nevada City. The Boardwalk is located in the downtown commercial area of Nevada City, within the "GB-HD" General Business-Historical District zoning district. The Boardwalk provides opportunities to alleviate congestion on the sidewalk, add seating areas to enhance the local businesses, and draw additional foot traffic to the City, thereby increasing the economic viability of the downtown commercial district. Because the Boardwalk is a removable and modular structure, it is subject to discontinuance and removal by the City Council at their discretion.
