Document Description
The Los Penasquitos Adobe Drainage Project consists of the installation of a subdrain at the Los Penasquitos Ranch complex which is located in the Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve, within the City of San Diego, approximately 0.5-mile west of the intersection of Black Mountain Road and Canyonside Park Drive. The ranch complex consist of the historic Johnson-Taylor Adobe, also known as the Santa Maria de Los Penasquitos Adobe, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The subdrain is intended to protect the foundations of the Johnson-Taylor Adobe from damage related to groundwater flowing from a spring located to the east. The subdrain will collect excessive groundwater from the spring and discharge it into an existing cement-lined retention basin on the property.
