Metropolitan has prepared an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for improvements to the F. E. Weymouth Water Treatment Plant (Weymouth Plant) in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines and the State CEQA Guidelines. The project, as described in the EIR, consists of the following elements: (1) Solar Generation Facility; (2) Filter Rehabilitation; (3) Chlorine System Upgrades; and (4) Weymouth Plant improvements. Weymouth Plant improvements consist of refurbishment to the basins; improvements to the domestic and fire water system, and stormwater management system; upgrades to the dry polymer system; rehabilitation to the oxidation demonstration plant; and, seismic upgrades to the water quality lab, engineering building, and central stores.
