On 1/19/16 the City certified an EIR for 1) the demolition of 9 existing structures on the subject property; 2) the construction of a 2-story, 80,000 sf Senior Residential Care Facility for the Elderly with 96 suites and 130 beds that specializes in services for seniors with Alzheimer's and other memory impairments; and 3) the preservation and re-use/re-purpose of the existing 'Kindergarten' building on the subject property located in a Coastal Zone. On 2/2/16, the City took additional actions to implement the project and determined there has been no change to the project or substantial changes in circumstances or new information that would warrant subsequent environmental analysis in accordance with CEQA.
