Document Description
On July 6, 2010, the City Council adopted an updated Land Use and Circulation Element (LUCE) for the City of Santa Monica. The LUCE is the City's guiding land use and transportation plan that encompasses the community's vision for Santa Monica's future through the year 2030. The proposed Zoning Ordinance Update is a comprehensive amendment to the City's existing Zoning Ordinance and related land use chapters (Article IX of the City's Municipal Code) and the Zoning Map to achieve consistency with the LUCE and to reflect the desires of the community in terms of allowed use provisions and development standards.
