Document Description
To meet the fire protection needs of this area, the County is proposing to construct an approximate 23,815 sf Fire Operations Complex. The project would include replacement of the existing Fire Station 24 with an 11,104 SF Fire Station Facility on approximately 0.91 acres. In addition, the project includes construction of a new Construction Division Transport Garage and a Construction Division Building totaling 12,711 sf. These two new structures would be located on two adjacent parcels (totaling approximately 0.68 acres) that were purchased by the County. The Construction Division Building would provide working quarters for various sections within the Emergency Operations Division, including: 1) a 6,216 sf Transport Garage, warehouse/covered equipment maintenance facility; and 2) offices for the Construction Section (heavy Equipment) of the Fire Department. Located within the proposed new Fire Station 24 would be approximately 1,600 sf office and living quarters for the North County Battalion Chiefs.
