Document Description
The Lucerne Valley Pit Mine is located in the southwestern region of San Bernardino County, approximately one mile south of Highway 18 at 8701 Meridian Road. The project site consists of the existing pit area, the west expansion area and a proposed State Lands incursion area totaling 215 acres. The project proposes the expansion of the existing pit area southward into adjacent land owned and managed by the State of CA. The total expansion area southward into State Lands will cover an additional 108 acres. The total disturbance within State Lands will be up to 113 acres, increasing the total project area from 215 acres to 328 acres which, will be mined in three phases.
