Document Description
The purpose of the Windmill Maze section reroute project is to realign a short section of trail to improve storm water flows and minimize erosion. The current deficiencies of the windmill maze section create undesirable trail damage during rain events prompting prolonged closures to the trial. The Windmill Maze is located on the Renz property of Hollister Hills SVRA. The property is characterized by various oak woodland communities, grasslands, and isolated chaparral communities. The soil in the area is predominately abode based with occasional sandstone deposits. The section that needs to be rerouted is poorly aligned, giving way to drainage issues.
