Document Description
The wilderness and Mono Craters restoration involves active restoration of 82 unauthorized reoutes that are or may be causing continuing resource impacts unless physically restored. Physical treatments include: vertical mulch (native vegetation and rock); native ground mulch; seeding and planting native vegetation; waterbars or other drainage features; decompaction; removing berms from the sides of the routes; and recontouring the road surface (naturalize grade by reducing fill and cut slopes). The black canyon component restores approximately 0.72 miles of trail, a perennial stream crossing, and an associated wet meadow/riparian area.
