Document Description
The proposed project would replace and upgrade the existing air handling systems at the UCSD Medical Center at Hillcrest. The existing air handling systems serving several operating rooms are reaching the end of their useful life and continued use would result in increasing repair costs and eventual system failure which would cause disruption to patient care. The new systems would provide safe and code-compliant conditions for the affected operating rooms. The project would reorganize and optimize the air handling system serving eleven operating rooms on the second floor. Seven existing rooftop air handling supply units would be removed and the operation consolidated into two new supply units.
