- Document Description
- The project is the replacement of cooling towers and associated apparatus at the CP Kelco facility. The new cooling tower will increase energy efficiency at CP Kelco by reducing the cooling energy consumption by nearly one-half (reducing from 78,000 kilowatt-hours per month to 41,000 kilowatt-hours per month). There are currently five cooling towers (166' long x 24' wide x 17' tall, each) located within a concrete basin, and 2 chillers (one is 45' tall; the other is 35' tall). The project will remove the 5 cooling towers and two chillers and replace them with 1 tower (72' long x 24' wide x 24' tall) and 3 fans that extend 6' above the tower. Thus, the total height of the structure will be 30'.
