Document Description
The proposed project is to improve access to persons with disabilities in the Elihu Harris building for compliance with the 2010 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and 2013 California Building Code (CBC) Standards. The Elihu Harris Building Access Barrier Removal Project includes removal of architectural barriers to common areas within the building and site. The interior alterations consist of relocating or modifying existing entry doors and landings, drinking fountains, restroom and shower fixtures and accessories, locker rooms, signage, interior ramps elevator thresholds, counter heights and clearances, protruding objects and the addition of assisted listening systems to auditorium and conference rooms, and accessible parking in the underground parking garage. The exterior alterations consist of renovation of the existing passenger loading surfaces and walks and removal of bollards.
