Document Description
The project will involve collecting soil cores using transects and random sampling. Seed will be extracted from the soil cores, and viability will be determined by dissecting the seeds and determining the presence or absence of a viable embryo. Some or all of the embryos may also be used to grow plants at UC Berkeley for open pollination.
