Document Description
Control burn up to 50 acres in coordination with local County and State CalFire authority fire crews at Anderson Flat at Anderson Marsh State Historical Park to reduce accumulated wildfire fuels and restore native grassland habitat. Work will reduce fire damage threat to oak trees by reducing ground and ladder fuels in the immediate vicinity of tree trucks with the use of hand tools, chainsaws, or weed whackers prior to the fire.

Project consists of maintenance and minor alteration of existing public facilities involving no expansion of use beyond current levels and minor public alterations in the condition of vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees included as prescribed burns to restore native vegetration, reduce fuel loads and control invasive exotic or alien species in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities, in accordance with CCR section 15300.4.
