Document Description
Report on flood risk management for the Sutter Basin. Plan to reduce flood risk by strengthening approximately 41 miles of existing Feather River West Levee from the Thermalito Afterbay to laurel Avenue. The primary method of strengthening the existing levee is the construction of soil-bentonite cutoff wall of various depths. Non-structural measures would be implemented in conjunctions with the recommended plan, including an emergency evacuation plan, identification of flood flight pre-staging areas, updates to floodplain management plan, and flood risk awareness communication.
