Document Description
CDFW is executing Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2014-0042-R2 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, The Nature Conservancy. The project consists of the restoration of the Cosumnes River Floodplain and riparian habitat adjacent to the Cosumnes River. The project proposes to breach several levees in strategic locations to encourage flooding of 828 acres of land adjacent to the lower Cosumnes River during normal storm events. Approximately 500 acres would be restored to riparian habitat.
