Document Description
To breach four (4) non-project levees along the Cosumnes River, raise two (2) private levees a maximum of 2-feet (South Levee and Shaw Levee), to construct a drainage swale to prevent fish stranding; and excavate ~91,150 cubic yards of material adjacent to the Cosumnes River to improve floodplain connectivity. Approximately 208 acres of the 830 acre project site - Lower Cosumnes River Floodplain Restoration Project (Oneto-Denier) - will be actively restored to riparian habitat by planting ~27,040 native trees, shrubs, vines, and herbs.
