Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration number 1600-2014-0312-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Placer County Flood Control and Water Conservation District. The Permittee proposes to construct flood control elements, along with recreational, aquatic, and riparian restoration elements within the open space reach located adjacent to Antelope Creek. The primary objective of the project is to detain additional flood volume along the creek corridor, reducing downstream peak discharges along the Dry Creek main stem that flows through downtown Roseville and portions of Placer and Sacramento Counties. Secondary objectives of the project include restoring the aquatic and riparian habitat along Antelope Creek, removing invasive and non-native plant species, and maintaining and/or enhancing stream channel stability and fish passage.
