Document Description
The proposed project would create a center channelized left turn lane by widening the existing four-lane undivided highway (SR 82) within Caltrans state right-of-way, along the north and southbound approaches to the intersection at Floribunda Avenue to accommodate the construction of a 10' Left Turn lane, two 11' through lanes in both directions and 1.5-foot shoulders. Protected left turn signals, intersection street lighting and upgraded ADA curb ramps at 3 corners would be added. SR 82 would be widened within the existing Caltrans state Right-of-way. The purpose of the project is to improve safety at the intersection of SR 82 and Floribunda Avenue by reducing existing and the potential for collisions involving left turn traffic movements.
