Document Description
Proposal to allow for a 2 phased 10 megawatt photovoltaic solar power generation facility, occupying 60 acres of R-1 land. The project would be constructed in phases and operate for a period of 35 years. The project will employ photovoltaic modules that convert sunlight directly into electrical energy and provide energy into the grid through the existing SCE distribution system. The facility will deliver the electrical, alternating current, output of the project to the existing regional transmission system. Part of processing this application includes a proposed code amendment to the Victorville Municipal Code allowing solar electrical power generation in the R-1 zoning district as a conditional use.
