Document Description
Using State and Federal funds, Caltrans proposes a project to repair a crib wall on (SR) 3 in Trinity County approximately five miles south of Douglas City, at (PM) 26.1. The Project would repair an existing crib wall which is approximately 100 ft. long using rock slope protection, covered embankment in order to preserve the roadway. With end tapers, the completed RSP covered embankment, is estimated to be up to 180 ft. long. It is anticipated, the existing crib wall will be left in place. Construction of the project will require tree removal, repair of the existing roadway (which may include dig outs, overlay, and shoulder backing), reconstructing the embankment using imported fill and traffic control. The project would also include installation of a guardrail and alterations to a driveway tie in across the highway in order to improve drainage.
