Document Description
The project includes the construction of a concrete headwall around an existing culvert, to prevent additional erosion around the inlet of the culvert. Approximately 1 cubic yard of soil will be excavated near the inlet of an existing 36-inch culvert in order to key in the forms for the new head wall. The wooden forms will then be installed for the headwall, which will extend no more than 2 feet from either side of the end of the culvert. Concrete will then be poured into the forms and allowed to set. Once set, the forms will be removed and the area will be backfilled as necessary. All work within the stream will occur during naturally dry conditions. All construction equipment will be operated from the existing road surface. No trees will be removed.
