Document Description
The Mountain Fire at Mount San Jacinto State Park caused significant impacts to the Willow Creek Trail and watershed from the High Trail junction south to the park boundary. The damage will be exacerbated by impending winter rains. There are significant areas where protective ground surface vegetation is missing and already fire scared soils are migrating into sensitive endangered species habitat. Preparation needs to be made for potentially massive amounts of woody debris and water transported soils from the unstable hillsides.
