Document Description
The Coastal Conservancy granted funds to save the Redwoods League to assist in its acquisition of a conservation and public access easement over the 8,532 acres CEMEX Redwoods property. Funds also were granted to the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County to develop a public access plan for the property. The purposes of the easement acquisition include preserving open space and existing natural conditions, for purposes of habitat protection, continued agricultural use in the form of timber harvesting and a park.
