The Sausalito-Marin City Sanitary District (SMCSD) will implement facility and process improvements to the existing treatment operations, including the addition of a headworks, new primary clarifier, secondary upgrades, tertiary polishing, and equalization storage. The project has been developed to address regulatory compliance, plant operation, reliability, performance, and to prevent wet weather blending events for influent flows of up to 9.0 million gallons per day (MGD).
