Document Description
The Proposed Project includes development of a new 75,000-square-foot elementary school. The Proposed Project was identified as one of two schools contemplated under Phase 2 of the approved Tracy Hills Specific Plan, which would serve the Jefferson School District. The project site is in Area C, of Phase 2, and subsequent to project approvals, the project site was graded as part of development for the surrounding residential subdivision. The school would serve students in Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade and has a planned enrollment capacity of 1,000 students and approximately 40 staff/faculty (1 employee per 25 students). The proposed project would consist of classrooms, administration offices, food service, library and multipurpose facilities, turf play area, a track, hard courts, and an amphitheater. The elementary school would serve the surrounding neighborhood that will be developed in the District.

The project site is located within the Tracy Hills Specific Plan (THSP), Phase 2, with corresponding Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN) 25106035, on a location that is identified for a future school in the adopted THSP. The project site is bounded by Sierra View Drive to the east and White Hart Avenue to the south. The surrounding area is unincorporated San Joaquin County; the County of Alameda is further to the west and Stanislaus County is further east. Regional access to the project site is provided by Interstate (I-) 580 to the east.
