Document Description
Request to intensify a scrap metal recycling facility on two parcels totaling ~2.19 acres. The proposal would increase the volume of scrap metal recycling from a monthly average of 904 tons to 4,000 tons, and the number of employees from 9 to 18 full time and 5 part-time employees. Recycling hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The applicant proposes to install a 10 foot high masonry wall along the eastern property line and utilize two pieces of heavy equipment, an excavator and a shearer, to crush and/or cut scrap metal.
