Document Description
The Station Area Plan will guide the City in its planning efforts to create a vibrant, transit-supportive, diverse downtown as well as the area surrounding the City's Caltrain commuter rail station. The Station Area Plan would feature an historic core, focused neighborhood and retail centers, an increase in residences within one quarter mile of a relocated Caltrain station (maximum 120 dwelling units per acre), and high intensity office and Research and Development (R&D) uses in the East Side Neighborhood with a maximum allowable density of 3.5 Floor Area Ratio. Increased dwelling units are anticipated to be constructed under the Station Area Plan, as well as a new area of office/R&D uses on the east side of the plan area.
