The Metropolitan Water District of Southern CA. will be the Lead Agency for the preparation of an EIR to assess the environmental effects of four project components at the Robert B Diemer Water Treatment Plant. They include: seismic upgrades of the northwest fill slope, construction of a utility corridor, and modifications to the Washwater Reclamation Plant; seismic upgrades to the northern fill slope located north of Basin No. 4; construction of a new underground pressure control structure on the Lower Feeder pipeline within the plant boundaries; and construction of a new conveyance and distribution maintenance facility on site to replace the facility previously demolished for construction of the new ozone facility.
