Document Description
The Master Plan provides guidance in planning and developing the Pomona College campus over a period of 15 years from the date of City approval. It would involve an increase of 50 students, 60 additional faculty/staff members, a net increase of 26 beds in student residences, and a net increase of 205,400 sq. ft. of on-campus buildings. On April 12, 2016, the City of Claremont City Council adopted Resolution No. 2016-21, a resolution certifying the Final EIR for the project and adopted Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Programs and a statement of overriding considerations pursuant to CEQA. On May 24, 2016, the City of Claremont City Council: (1) adopted a Resolution adopting an Addendum to the EIR; (2) conducted first reading of an Ordinance Approving Change of Zone for Property Located at 211 and 239 N. College Avenue (File#13-Z04) ; and (3) approved a Resolution Approving the Pomona College 2015 Master Plan (File#12-IMP02). On May 25, 2016, the City of Claremont filed a Notice of Determination for the Pomona College 2015 Campus Master Plan. On June 14, the City of Claremont City Council conducted a second reading and adopted the Ordinance approving Change of Zone for property located at 211 and 239No. College Ave. (File #13-Z04) changing the zoning of the property from Medium Density Residential (RM2000) to Institutional Educational (IE).
