Document Description
Sidewalk for pedestrian access along the west side of Sunrise Blvd. currently ends at the Gold Country Blvd. intersection. An existing narrow dirt pathway north of Gold Country Blvd. is used by pedestrians for continued access along the west side of Sunrise Blvd. The purpose of the project is to replace the existing dirt pathway with a concrete sidewalk between South Bridge St. and Gold Country Blvd. to improve pedestrian access to this area. All work will be within the existing City right-of-way, except for a strip of land approximately 2' in width by 420' in length that the City will acquire from two adjacent parcels owned by Sacramento County to construct portions of the proposed sidewalk. These parcels are identified as urban and built-up land, but are currently undeveloped. This project is beneficial to meeting the City's pedestrian movement goals.
