Document Description
The project includes the treatment of non-native, exotic plant species: tamarisk, African fountain grass and Sahara mustard in the Borrego Palm Canyon and Hellhole Canyons of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Excavation will be limited to direct plant removal when necessary. No motorized equipment will be used during breeding bird season. All populations of sensitive or listed species will be avoided. Herbicides used will be non-aquatic rated in areas where standing water is present. Limited recreational closures may be necessary.
