Document Description
The San Mateo County Resource Conservation District (RCD) and Save-the-Redwoods League (The League) are proposing to replace a failed culvert located in an unnamed intermittent stream tributary to Peters Creek in the Pescadaro Creek Watershed, San Mateo County, California. In the spring of 2013, the League, which owns the 839-acre Peters Creek Property, discovered that the culvert under the only access road to the property (Middleton Road) was failing, and is likely to completely fail in the immediate future. As much as 100 cubic yards of have accumulated along a 100-foot stretch of the channel upstream of the crossing, most of which would include replacing the existing 30-inch culvert and Humboldt crossing with a 48-inch diameter, 40-foot long culvert designed to accommodate 100-year flows. In the short term, the proposed maintenance activities would allow continued access tothe property.
